Had my Priv set up without my sim card inserted. When I went to insert sim it need to do encryption. It failed and said it needed to rest phone. When it reset phone, it is stuck in Google login loop. Keeps saying to enter previous Google account that was used before reset. Does in continuous loop. Waiting for replacement phone now from Bell.

I bet there's more to the story of what you did than this. Anyway, great job destroying your brand new phone. Next time follow the instructions correctly.

That was my thinking. 90% of the time in life it's user error.

Yikes, hope they give you a new one! Should be no problem. When you get your new one try putting in the SIM before you set it all up.

Are you folks saying I should put my SIM in before setting up things on the phone?

I didn't do that, was going to pop in my SIM tomorrow.

I also setup my phone prior to putting the SIM in, eventually when I was ready to make the jump i moved the SIM over, all it said was I had to reboot, which I did.

OK so you set it up which means it has a google account and password because it asks for that during setup.

Why can't you give it the password it wants?

Wow. There are some haters on this thread. I use my phone for business and did not in want my phone off line during swap. Having owned Blackberries since the 2002, I know how long it can take to swap phones. Blackberry tech support tried for an hour to no avail. They were kind enough to conference call my carrier to explain the situation. I'm positive I didn't gripe on my original post.
