Don't Knock him, the fact he was trying to swipe, instead of pecking away, shows he is used to BB10 OS. that brought a smile to my face. I'm sure there are a lot of people who know how to use Android OS, so i don't think that little lapse will discourage people from trying the new Priv. It's obvious that the Priv has a lot of appeal, judging from the look on her face when he handed it to her.
I agree. But the fact that he didn't supervise the product himself and even isn't familiar with it personally made me sad.

Oh man, I just watched this on my desktop, with my nice pair of headphones. First, seriously, this is one smoking good looking phone. Not only is it good looking, but it feels solid when they hold it, and the slide out keyboard, gorgeous. The sound it makes when it slides out. Wow! Buying on release. Even if this is the last BlackBerry ever, at least we're going to go out on a bang!
If we can go out with a Bang, there wont be no going out. Banging means staying, yo.

With early versions of BB10, alpha/beta/etc. releases, the numbers identify the device. BlackBerry can use that number to find out who's leaking any info, should images appear somewhere. It's probably the same with Android.

What is everyone talking about gestures for?

Chen clearly taps on Chrome and it takes a while to load. Should have gone with the Android stock browser.

Watermark like most dev OS versions had.

I really wish they would leave out privilege. Makes it sound stuck up.

You must have missed it. He tries to CLOSE the app by swiping up. Watch again.

Chen sounds like he made an honest attempt at getting the apps customers wanted but couldn't and Android BlackBerry was the compromise.

Also, he made sure for the phone to have the best specs available, which seems to be the agreement from all the tech sites based on the leaked specs.
The inside of this phone appears to be identical to that of the S6 Edge, but the S6 Edge was released earlier in 2015. Most of the high end Androids coming out in Nov/Dec 2015 are similar spec'd but with some enhancements (various sensors, options for 64 gig/128 gig, 4 gig RAM although 3 gig seems to be the standard. And a few others.

The apps were a hard sell. According to IDC, the reason why developers were not coming to BlackBerry was because even with BB10 being "the best" OS out there legacy BBOS 7 were outshipping and outselling BB10 well throughout the first year. Chen tried to mitigate this by marketing that Q5 and Z3 to those same markets, but no dice.

Bottom line: not enough people seemed interested in BB10 for developers to care enough.

PINs have been dislplayed (top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right) in the watermarks of BlackBerry 10 OS (developer stuff) . . . I wonder what 1161636153 stands for in terms of Android OS.

The slow loading time when he opened chrome was very awkward. I wonder if the added security that BlackBerry is offering will slow down the device to the point where android purists won't accept it. One thing I know is that I'll own one the day they are released.

Actually, this is just a case of someone that hasn't gotten used to the device's touch screen.

It's clear he first hits the menu/circle button (which you're supposed to hold down to get the three orb short cut to pop up,.. then he sort of barely misses the Chrome icon, then finally he actually taps the chrome icon properly and it opens very quickly. I would say it's less of a lag issue, more of a touch screen sensitivity issue.
