    2 nights ago my phone suddenly is appearing with half of the screen scrambled. There was no drop and no water access. I can still scroll and tap on the scrambled part even though I can't see what is underneath.
    A screen shot of my phone revealed no scramble, so that's weird too.
    I did the whole hold the power button for 32 seconds more than once - no change. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    by the way, I have insurance and tried to have a new Priv sent to me but at&t doesn't carry blackberry anymore, apparently... they wanted to send me a samsung galaxy... no thanks.

    It does sound like hardware. If they can't replace it, maybe do as suggested above and take a decent valued samsung and sell and buy what you want.
