I keep lowering my notifications volume. Not sure how I am inadvertently doing it but I assume I'm depressing the volume button.

I keep doing the same thing, not sure how, I get a message to "end now" but it won't, I have to reboot the phone and set the volume back to normal.

I seem to do that mostly after I take a Screenshot which uses the Power Button and the VOLUME Down buttons. I think that hitting the VOL Down resets the volume to very low in the process or if the timing is off.

I use VolumeLocker. I set mine up so that the only way to change the volume on my phone is to go into the app and disable the lock, change my volume, enable the lock again. I use the 'show as persistent notification' option and it does the trick. YMMV, I pretty much always keep my phone in vibrate, so it was driving me crazy that I could change it to max ring in my pocket with the screen off.

I've used VL too on multiple phones, and been happy with it. I've also kept phones in vibrate going back years--too easy to forget the ringer's on when you don't want it!
