Original target was $749 MSRP CAD, with intro ShopBB promo of $649 CAD.

But after seeing current retail prices of the S6 and G4, I lowered that to $729 MRSP, with $629 intro promo would be my bid for this.

Translate that to USD would put it in option 4 as well.

$699 Canadian dollars, $249 on a 2 year contract through one of the major carriers. I think it will drop in price quickly, probably $199 on a 2 year contract before Christmas.

BlackBerry should also consider offering a loyalty trade up for the ShopBB store.

I would hope carriers do a trade up event akin to what they do with iphones.

If I could get enough in trade to payoff my edge contract on the classic and have a little left over to put down on the Priv I would be happy... if the Priv starts in the 550-650 range imo.

I would like to see a poll based upon upgrade pricing or contract pricing. I'm not looking to buy an out of contract phone and will be using my upgrade. That being said, I wouldn't want to spend anymore than $300.00 upgrade price. If I was forced to buy out of contract $600.00 would be my max.

It has to be far lower than iPhone and galaxy flagship ligne and below LG and Nexus line....in the 500$ canadian...but BlackBerry are so stupid, they'll price it at 700$ and it will be a flop

Nexus line is not a flagship. Last time they tried doing that (Nexus 6), everyone said it was too expensive.

A polish BlackBerry distributor (BBSklep.pl) announced yesterday on it's Facebook page the price and month of availability of the Priv.
Supposedly it's 670 EUR, coming in December (facebook.com/bbsklep/posts/922143171214084).
For us UK folk, it would possibly mean a 499 GBP price tag on launch. Not 'too' bad, if the info is true!

The passport was 650€ in Europe, and 530 in the UK. so I don't think it will be 499

So, in conclusion, about 4% of CB readers may purchase this phone and most will pay up to 600 USD for the privilege of doing so

I won't buy it, but I would recommend it to my friends who like it for a price of Passport SE + $50, i.e. $600 in USA, or $650 in my locality.

Im NOT trying to promote this thread but I believe Rogers in Canada has reduced the price of Edge 6 (which I assume is similar in spec to the priv) to 850 Can plus tax (approx 650 usd + tax). It may be they are positioning ahead of the Priv's release details?

I just hope BlackBerry is aware that the Snapdragon 808 does not compare well to the Exnyos 7420 and it is in last year's flagship. Priv should not go head to head with the S6 Edge but LG G4 and Nexus 5X.

CHEN: High-end price, yeah. We'll make the phone financially affordable to get, whether that's by installments or something else.
OP I think your poll might have started way too low.
