Hi everyone, I just ordered my Priv and I'd like to see what your cases look like.
Can you post some real life pictures of Priv with a case and comment on what you like/you don't like about the case?

    Thanks in advance!

To be honest, most look very much like the various ads showing the case and with the Priv. Check out the sticky Priv case thread and there's another one or two regular threads - one of them popped back up the other day. Check out CB's Shop for cases, too. They usually have a good showing.

Even those threads don't have many pictures. I really don't want to pay $30+ for a case that I will end up removing. I actually really like the way Priv feels on hand, but I might need to protect it when I am traveling. I'll check other threads and ask some questions there instead, I am curious how well cases work with the sliding mechanism.

So I've tried a half dozen cases and keep going back to the BlackBerry flip case. Two reasons:

    1) it stops me from pocket dialing people
    2) I use the "window" on the case as a finger hold when you walking around and using the phone one handed. I know it sounds stupid, but that flip case has saved my *** more than a few times when walking the dogs and browsing the Web or reading emails.

Here you go. Real cowhide not the fake cheap crappie that falls apart after a few months. It is sold and extremely durable.

I purchased it on Amazon. The seller is in the UK but shipped it to me 1 1/2 week even after they said it would take 4 weeks. Read the reviews.... You won't regret it.

Just like with most things in life, your taste may not match others'. It's individual preference..

OK, here you go. Seido Surface case in red. Also available in blue and black. I have all three. Pay no attention to the water spots on the mirror. Also, pay no attention to the focus quality of the front facing camera in the mirror. the case does create some friction from the slider. It doesn't bother me because I don't use the PKB very much. Others have said that it gets better the more you use it. Some have suggested some type of lubricant. It also has a metal kickstand. The case is raised just enough in the back to keep the camera lens off the surface when you set it down. The wide hump at the kickstand prevents it from wobbling when you type on a flat surface. As said, the front of the case is raised just enough to keep the screen off the surface when you set it face down. It is not slippery it is not rubbery either. Just right as far as I'm concerned. You list the same the same reasons I use the flip case. The pocket calls were one of the main reasons I switched but when on walks and taking pictures I can hold it more securely.

    Like button doesn't work, weird..
Anyway, thanks so much, does the bottom portion flex when you pull the screen down to hide the keyboard? That was my main issue with the cases that cover the bottom portion.
    Thanks again.

Looks like you may have an issue with your power button there like I've read about? Is that truly an issue, or how has it been for you?

No issues with any of the buttons.I can see why you thought that, but the slightly loose outer power shell button on the case doesn't affect the use or operation of the power button on the phone.

K thanks, seems to me I read somewhere in another thread about having button problems on the seidio, I've always liked how the seidios feel so I'm interested in the blue one . . . Thanks

Which one did you get? I was about to order one from Amazon, but I am worried that some of those cases will make the phone slippery and bulky.
I really like how slim the Priv is as it is, they did a really nice job with the design of Priv. I like the idea of flip case too.
