Hi, after the current keyboard app update, the symbol layout is locked (like after a long press) after short pressing the SYM key. Please correct this! I heavily use the custom symbol layout for accessing germen umlauts!

Oh dear, I had that yesterday but thought I press something wrong, but true on my STV100-4Priv also pkb SYM+letter press-and-release does not hide the symbolpage right away.
This breaks fluent Umlaut- and Accent-input - why have I updated.

If you hold SYM a little bit longer (then usual to type fluently) it really works sometimes and hides away as it should. At least if not on sentence begin.

But if you are really typing fast SYM+letter>release it stays open.
@Rico4you can you reproduce now?

Update: oh well it is really a hit-and-miss in nearly all the apps. Sometimes it works, sometimes you can do it once but the second SYM-letter then uses the "next" of the 3 symbolpages...

I use the swipe down for symbols and there's no way to do that "a little bit longer" But I also tried holding SYM longer and it still doesn't hide.

Could not replicate. As you mentioned maybe my typing speed is the answer although feel it's quick but do you use a lot flick to type.

@Rico4you do you have the pkb custom symbol page (Customize the layout for symbols - Keyboard - latest) set as you primary symbol page?

Update: happens also on deactived custom symbol page, so hopefully this brings it to a broader attention - how could that slip through...

Correct with 2 languages enabled. Only PKB key modified is currency have it set at €.

OK than I can only say it's 3:1 users "for" a bug in newest pkb symbols - don't know why you can't reproduce.

Love this keyboard. But since the last update, when pressing the sym button on the PRIV 's pkb & selecting a symbol, the symbol menu doesn't minimize as it used to. It stays displayed until I hit the down arrow button to hide it. No bueno

When physical keyboard is open, virtual keyboard that opens on sym button press will no longer automatically go away after typing something which is honestly annoying and just makes the typing experience a lot slower

On the last update, with the priv, when you press the symbol key, the symbol drawer stays on screen unlike before, which slows down typing alot and it's quite annoying.... Please solve that ^^

Sym-Key is locked on after one button press since last update. It's a lot clumsier/slower to type symbols now.

Seit dem update, schalten die Symbole beim drücken der alt taste nicht automatisch auf die nummern um. Bleibt bei den Symbolen stehen. Das müsst ihr wieder ändern

Thanks folks! I didn't want to harm your Play Store rates and comments when the bug appeared on my PRIV a couple of days ago, used the PS email to devs function to report bug instead... It's really annoying for non EN typers, this bug.

While you're at it: a setting to configure long-press duration needed for caps would be a dream of mine (would set it waaay shorter than default) ^^
