Think about how much nicer your slider will look clipped into an inexpensvie air-vent dash mount with your aux cable and power cable coming out of the bottom rather than the top. Plus, you will be able to see you screen more easily.
Aux cable plugged into the phone? What is this? The stone age? I have my music streaming through BT... :-D
Except that method doesn't keep the volume (song skip) buttons accessible.
Funny thing, Android cannot use the volume keys to skip songs or go back like our BB's can. I think I've read you can root it and do some weird thing with it for it to have that feature, lol.
I saw the original pick last night, and the "edited" pic on the main CB page, and now this one which was the original pic.
What was the point of editing when there's nothing to see except the "BlackBerry" logo at the top which was left alone anyway? The back of a couch? Big deal, that doesn't tell anyone anything.
Just wondering what the big deal is with the pic as is.

The "mystery" is supposed to make people more intrigued...
Guys, not the post with the pictures but thoughts anyway?

If it's true, I'm very disappointed.
They are running away like Nokia did, next step is for Microsoft to buy them, sack most the employees, write off the debt and ruin them.
Also, still curious why it was rendered and posted on CB? The background isn't really going to expose the identity of the poster anyways
I think the couch and the piece of the rug that can be seen on the picture look so 'unique' that one of the poor guy's BB workmates will recognize them.
So I think editing it was a good idea, obsolete by now.

I'd venture to say that the couch would be fairly recognizable in this day and age. Lol.
The curved design is pretty lazy. The S6 Edge already has it, so they did a copy/paste there, even if they didn't it will look that way for the regular consumer. Furthermore it's not that good looking when there is actually no screen behind the curved section which the S6 Edge does have. It looks like a cheap knockoff that way.
If you have the headphone jack at the top, it would interfere with the moving mechanism and possible stop the device from sliding smoothly. Also, if the top was slide open, it would be impossible to plug in the head phones, without first closing it again. Which becomes a pain in the ***, which is why no one is making sliders. Bottom make sense.

Lol, it's not lazy, it's likely using the same parts (and made by Samsung?)
I've said it a couple times, but the curved screen probably makes it seem thinner than it really is (less 'edge'), a necessary illusion if the sliding mechanism adds substantial thickness.
I just hope when this device is out and running android full steam, people dont flog Blackberry for battery drain and Blackberry for being Blackberry.... again
*Education is Important* smh....

Why not? A wall-hugger is only a wall-hugger when it isn't a BlackBerry?
"the phone is buggy and the battery life is awful."
If it's running Android, I don't expect the battery life to be decent. Ever.
I hope they'll let BB10 run on it if you want. If you can run pure Android on a Passport, hopefully any BB device that can run Android can also run BB10.

Bottom always makes sense! But not for headphone jacks.
