I posted the phone list and added very VERY opinions of my own on them.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - No SD - Shame too, good phone otherwise.
Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge - Meh to me.
HTC One A9 - Also meh, M9 is much better.
LG G4 - Would have bought this if the priv didnt exist.
LG V10 - Also a nice looking phone.
OnePlus 2 - Nope. not my cup of tea.
Sony Xperia Z5 / Z5 Premium - As nice as the sony phones look, I just like LG and HTC's stuff best.
Moto X Force / Droid Turbo 2 - I would get the Moto G if I had to get a Motorola.
Nexus 6P - After the Priv, G4, and Note 5, I would get this one.
BlackBerry Priv - I already own this one

Not sure, my priv is on the desk and I pre-ordered, because of some sw issues especially the hub
Waiting for next week's apps updates
The note 4 has been a great phone but without pkb is a pain to write emails which I do very well on BlackBerry classic

How can a device that is released just at the end of the year be considered for phone of the year?
Not enough time for ppl to have the device and decide.
The biggest U.S. carrier doesn't even have it available yet.

I wouldn't vote for any of them. They are Adroid phones.

Unfortunately the BlackBerry OS 10 failed to garner enough market share to avoid this foray into the BlackBerry Android landscape. Have you even tried to use the BlackBerry Priv at a wireless carrier store? Yes, the user experience is different than you are familiar with buy so was BlackBerry OS 10 compared to BlackBerry 5/6/7. As BlackBerry users we learn to adapt.

Actually, our phone rep gave us one to try. I setup the phone, got everything setup including my email accounts. Got to use it for a while until I realized a few things.

    1. Not as smooth as BB10 in operation. I had a few lags.
    2. Recessed keyboard interfered with my fingers. Not a good experience. Stopped using the PKB.
    3. Heated up way to much when doing anything big.
    4. HUB is c r a p.
    5. Productivity wasn't as good.
    6. Too few gestures. Any OS that needs a home button isn't designed for smooth operation.
    7. Multi-tasking wasn't as good as BB10.

You see. I actually try all the phones out before I make decisions. I have on my desk three iPhones, two Android, one Windows 10 phone and three BB10 phones. The only ones I will use in the future is BB10 and when that stops working, Windows 10 phone. iPhone is a walled garden and Android tries to be everything and fails as a communication device which is what I need.

Enjoy your windows 10 phone with no apps proper business and fun apps. Obviously your guy did none of the recent updates on Priv. I used BlackBerry's since 2002 , latest one Z30. (And one iPhone 6). Priv is by far the best
BB10 OS will never again be upgraded just supported.

It was me who had the phone and I did the updates. Priv just doesn't cut it. Have YOU actually used and have in your possession a Windows 10 phone? Probably have never seen one. At least it has a file manager built in. A BB10 in its current form is better than Android M which I have on my Nexus 7.

I've become a fan of Android M. A very solid and polished OS in my opinion.
