    Passport to Priv one month,
Because I wanted to match BB10 experience first let me tell you how I configured my Priv.
Very first thing I did was updated all Blackberry apps and OS, then Disable following apps

    Android Live Wallpaper
    Android Work Assistant
    Black Hole
    Bubbles
    Chrome
    com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks
    com.andorid.wallpaper.holospiral
    com.blackberry.bbm.meetings
    Content Transfer (don’t need anymore)
    Docs
    Drive
    Finance (yahoo)
    Gmail (only use HUB)
    Google App
    Google.Japanese.Input
    Google.Pinyin.Input
Google Play Movies & TV (replaced with VLC)
Google Play Music (replaced with Spotify)
    Google Zhuyin input
    Google.text-to-speech Engine
    Hangouts
    Market Feedback Agent
    Massenger (use textra)
    Music Visualization Wallpapers
    News & Weather
    Phase Beam
    Photo Screensavers
    Photos (use F-Stop)
    Retail Demo
    Sheets (use MS excel)
    Slides

I am using hub exclusively for my 3 hotmail and 2 gmail accounts, Airwatch for work email.
each email has custom notification sound and LED.

    installed following apps.
FireFox, Whatsapp, Clash of Clans, Solid Explorer, CB, textra, Facebook, Weather Network, Amazon shopping, TD, CIBC, Waze, F-Stop, kijiji, Spotify, Telus, Rogers, Uber, MS office, CM Lite, Greenify, XDA, Flipp, Fongo, VLC, Airwatch and these are the only google apps that I use youtube, Gmaps, play games, google settings, play store and play service.

Only clock widget on home screen.
    Poo-Up widgets disabled
    Using picture password to unlock.
Adaptive brightness disable, brightness set to 15%
Gmail account only sync contact and app data
using hub to access gmail (email)

    Pros (HW)
    Excellent screen
Camera not great but satisfied (better then passport but not par with competitors, may be software)
Earphones and car Bluetooth sound better than passport
    Battery life par with passport
Call quality and reception better then passport on Telus network
Charge faster than passport on same charger

    Cons (HW)
build quality OK (not good as passport)
speaker is good but not stereo
physical KB not useful, most of the time I forgot that it has PKB.

    Pros (SW)
Android app experience is really great
    like Double tap to wake
also like bottom gestures, left to work email right to hub and center for Firefox search.
Like hub with some Android experience like left swipe to delete and right to flag, hold to select and account color looks great on curved screen, only miss pinch filter and some customization.
battery indicator on curve screen is neat.
Peek gesture on curve is useful.

    Cons (SW)
Android not par with BB10, not buttery smooth and solid. For example, hub and contact scrolling is slower than BB10.
    miss notification randomly
    random legs but not frequent
most of the time app doesn’t close even cleared from recent app, that’s why I use greenify.
missing lots of built in BB10 features.
Work email is Joke on Android not even close to workspace.
DTEK doesn’t monitor Google play store and play service, not sure about rest since I disabled them
drop down notification are not customizable.

    Conclusion:
over all its a good device will not switch back to BB10 rather then wait for BB to add those missing features and bring more BB10 like experience.

Thanks for your sharing.. found it very useful.

I'm currently using a passport and saw and played around with the priv for the first yesterday... and to be honest, from what I see and in comparing what I'm using now, the only step for me is possible back to the Q10 or Classic. Getting used to the Passport and still do not (and don't believe i'll ever) like the priv. Just not feeling android.

Its a app that force close apps that run in background, you can customize which one you want to close or not. Don't include hub in list.

Priv's pkb is more than useful,it's you're decision to use it or not.
I might be wrong on this but this is my personal find, other users may have better way to utilize PKB

    Thanks OP, great post !
Actually I'm on a Passport -> Priv (1 month too) -> Passport SE path.
My conclusion are near100% the same than yours.

Still, I must admit that ... I'm emotional. And my emotions are better suited by the Passport SE.
I'd say the passport has a soul, it's an mature man with great but somehow limited capabilities ... but he sings the blues under my thumbs.
Priv is a younger buddy, with more vitality, his teething but moves with the times ... it's 160BPM but fails to make me swing.

bottom line : I'd give Priv and Passport the same overall score, sharing a very pretty high ranking.
Edit : And chances are the next BlackBerry Android device will be my next dancer !

Great post OP. I'm trying to replicate the BB10 experience as well. Like the PRIV enough not to go back, but longing for some more BlackBerry features brought over.

Great post, thanks. I'm really considering the PRIV as I'm on a month to month plan now and I just can't decide. My Z30 has been great these few years. Not an Apple fan so I'll wait a bit see what BlackBerry does over the next 4-6 months. I like that you've "configured" the PRIV to be more like BB10, very helpful for when I get one.

    Tks

what I found was that when the priv and passport were side by side I would pick the passport as my first choice ,I think the build of te passport feels more solid more robust
