$1000 for each Cnd store. It's official; I'm not getting this phone due to cost & it wont sell anywhere near where it needs too, to keep BlackBerry alive and above water...

Stupid BlackBerry... this isn't an iPhone nor does it have a cult following. So, this is (IMHO) a death wish by BlackBerry, or Chen is purposely sabotaging the company. I'm looking at a phone that costs $300 to manufacture�, not $600..

I wouldn't worry too much about those retailers at the moment. Start worrying when it shows up on ShopBlackBerry at that price.

While the conversion price seems to make sense,

579 GBP minus 20% = 483 GBP

483 GBP = 749 USD = 949 CAD

It still doesn't add up to previous launches. CPW was still consistently higher than actual launch, by about $100 CAD every time.
