Well lots of hype for new BlackBerry slider here, I have a question for you folks, according to me there are 3 possible ways of wrapping BlackBerry slider os,
1.Pure android with no bb10 features.
2.Android with bb10 skin and features.
    3.Blackberry 10
Which one would you prefer, and why???????
If you ask me, its a no for android, and not even android with bb10 skin!
    What would you choose??????

    BB10.

And if they decide to release the Slider with Android to masses, they can still make a BB10 version available form their website for us diehards.

It doesn't matter which one WE prefer. The market loves option 1 to the tune of 82%. The market hates option 3 to the tune of 0.1%.

BlackBerry will try option 2 as a last ditch effort to sustain its device business - bringing some option 3 features to the world that basically lives in option 1.

I agree. But I think the device will be a mix of 1 and 2. Android with BB10 features, but not skin.

Could be wrong as I have no idea.

I will say number 2.Android with bb10 skin and features. Why? Because if BlackBerry wants the new device to be successful it has to be difference than the the rest of Android manufactures. If you are going to join the Android crowd, yours has to stand out among them.

It should offer customers the choice: a heavily skinned Android with BB10 HUB integration, BB10 VKB, etc. Call me crazy, but I might get this thing stock, use it for a bit then switch to Nova Launcher and change the keyboard. Might remove the hub too if theres a way, we'll see. I find nothing wrong with stock android. I rooted my Note 4 and installed a custom rom on it and it feels so fresh, that and Nova launcher + a custom keyboard and its truly a custom device. I guess we'll all see how well the Venice is integrated.

If it were going to rain smart phones every Tuesday - would you prefer a lighter smartphone to cause less damage or phablet like smart phones falling at a lighter pace?

Pretty much the same as asking about a BB10 powered Venice.

Based on what? With the exception of the first reveal, there hasn't been a single leak, either render or wild use, where BB10 has been seen in relation to stock BB10. It's coming with Android with BB10 experience. The only question is the manner in whcih it's secured (hypervisor, QNX kernel, etc).

But with proper Google Play Store and improved android palyer

I would remove amazon app store but I understand this would be a problem for those who have spent money there
