I updated the Google app yesterday on my priv and now ok Google detection is greyed out.

Google search on this topic is a wasteland of try this or that with no fix.

Any help is appreciated.

I had a similar problem, for some reason the app was disabled and even my swipe shortcuts weren't working I went into Apps and enabled Google and everything is working fine now.

Passport running on 10.3.2. 2876

Tried restart, checked and app is enabled, language set to US English..

Open the*Google*app. In the top left corner of the page, touch the Menu icon. Tap Settings > Voice > "OK Google� Detection. From here, you can choose when you want your phone to listen when you say "Ok*

You misunderstood the issue. The ok Google detection setting is greyed out.

Is your Voice Search App enabled? Both the Google app and Voice search app need to be enabled.

Thanks for your suggestions. Both are enabled.

OK Google is actually enabled despite the setting greyed out. Works from any screen.

Don't understand what is causing this.
