We have all done it. :-) The way I get around it if uploading from my phone is to crop it (or edit it in any way) and re-save it, then the re-saved one will load correctly.

Wow. Did you do anything special to the waterfall pic (ie slow down shutter speed) when you were taking it, or did the PRIV automatically handle it?

    Cincinnati, OH.

Reds vs Rockies this past Saturday. Reds scored 9 unanswered (after everyone left early) to win 12-8. Great game.

    Thanks.

I wish that BB had left the "HDR" as part of the naming scheme. I really don't recall if I enabled hdr for that one or not. But otherwise, I have not really played with any of the manual modes. I might guess that hdr might "work" to slow things down as it takes its additional exposures on a moving target like a waterfall. I am not sure what to look for in the EXIF info to see if I can tell the difference between my five or six shots.

Since I'm still getting in shape, lately I'm not carrying my regular camera where I do play more with exposures.

Hopefully, I will get out tomorrow for a really steep hike with an ice clad lake and a sheer mountain wall behind it. Got to take advantage of Seattle having sunshine!

The complex is called Bridal Veil Falls. And this was the small waterfall. I did not have the energy to hike the extra mile to the really large one. And while I did take a more distant photo through the trees it did not come out well.

"The falls drop a total of 1,291 feet in seven distinct tiers, with sections of less-steep cascading stream separating each fall. Both the considerable height and the more level stream between each section of the falls results in the total run of the falls being over 2,000 linear feet in length, however each of the major portions of the falls is quite a bit steeper than the overall pitch of the formation lets on. Unfortunately only about one third of the falls is readily visible from any one point, and half of the falls are hidden from view from anywhere but up close." https://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/...eil-Falls-4662

This lake is only at about 2,400 feet but it is on the north side with those peaks towering about 3,000 feet above it. So sun does not reach it until around this time of year. It is also in the convergence zone - that is an area east of Puget Sound where winds wrap around the north and south sides of the Olympic Mts bring more precip to the area, hence more snow. The convergence zone focus moves north/south depending on how the winds hit the Olympics.

But I have to admit, I'm pretty wiped out tonight.
