The Priv stays in Iceland - Seattle's iceland, Greenlake. Takes a number of consecutive days of sub-freezing temps to freeze most of the surface. Weds night it hit 19F at my house just a few blocks away.

And, frankly, at this time of year, it is almost like Iceland with our limited sunlight. At noon, the sun shines in the winshield when driving south.




And the crows standing around on the ice near the last open water. All the rest in all photos is extended ice and not water.

I really did appreciate bb10 where the name for the photo contains either Pano or HDR so that we could easily tell or remember that info. I

The Priv went to Norway. By the water on a North Sea fjord at sunset in Norway. The water is very cold; it started to freeze over a couple of days later.

Homeward bound, somewhere over Canada, my PRIV gazes out toward the horizon. We were flying Iceland Air and sat toward the back of the plane so the wing tip is all you can see of the plane. My daughter actually took this because I was in the isle seat. We had a long dusk, kind of chased the sunset across the world.

My Priv is home again, chasing sunsets. Near Salem, Oregon. Yesterday's sunset. With the leaves off the trees there is a better view than in summer.

More photos from Discovery Park. Obviously, I like the Sound pictures with our low sun. (by the way, the picture was taken about 12:30pm, just after Noon and the sun was that low) But there's an example of how our moist atmosphere encourages ferns to grow on tree branches - an urban "rain forest." You can see the tide is out in one of the Sound pictures with the Olympics in the background. And when driving home I decided to stop and take a picture with Greenlake and the Cascades. Our dry, cold weather is suppose to end tomorrow.
