I've had my Priv since Friday and have noticed something odd tonight.

I can't seem to activate a PIN code security lock on my device. I have set the phone to lock immediately upon sleep but when I hit the power button to sleep the phone and then press it again to wake it, I am prompted with a lock simple swipe lock screen but no PIN request.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I've also noticed that when I reboot my phone I'm momentarily shown an O2 splash screen...I'm on the giffgaff network in the UK and purchased from carphonewarehouse.

Could I have a faulty phone?

Assuming GiffGaff uses the same network(s) as O2, it could be an O2 model sold by CPW, which would explain the splash.

As for the PIN lock, i would recommend setting your lock screen back to Swipe, then changing it once more to PIN.

Hey, thanks for that...I figured out what the problem was in the end.

I have my pebble smart watch connected to the phone and had it ticked as a trusted device which meant it bypasses the lock screen.

The solution was simply to remove it from trusted devices
