    The new official Priv video released by BlackBerry shows the phone receive a notification / message.

    The screen lights up.

    But I see no flashing LED.

    This is a BlackBerry feature that I hope they didn't eliminate from the Priv - I like the way BB10 functions, where the LED blinks but the screen doesn't light up. If I remember right, BBOS had the same functionality.

    On my classic, the color of the LED tells me what notification it is without the rest of the world seeing my screen.

    Anybody seen photos or video that shows the LED, or is it really gone on the Priv?

    Most of android smartphones have an LED Indicator which will light up, if you've received a new message. It's likely that Priv will also have an LED as it's a thing almost every smartphone except iPhones have.

    Why it's not lighting up as he gets a new message in this vid is a good question. But as I said I doubt that you won't have a status LED.

    I wish BellShare would make an extensive version of BeBuzz for android but make it more customizable. I'd pay another $2-4 for it on Android.

    Nope, that's the front-facing camera.

    Now I am a little worried... I know it sounds stupid but the LED notifications have become something I can't live without,. It helps me triage whether I need to check my phone or not, depending on the colour.

    I doubt all the official blackberry cases for the priv would have a hole in front of the led if it only indicated charging

    It's possible he just didn't set it up to have blinking LED. There's also options to have it off in BB10, too.

    It was already stated that the phone would have the message indicator light unless that's changed but it was announced long ago.

    Wouldn't be BlackBerry without it

    Well, I can live without my physical keyboard. I have. But I very, very, VERY strongly prefer the physical keyboard.

    Per all sources it indicates this does have the LED as all bb's have (berryflow upstream podcast) those guys are usually spot on .

    But, the LED is common place on many Android devices, so I doubt the Priv having it was ever in question.
