What's the next BlackBerry event? I saw the BlackBerry website and there is no mention of it. If the phone is going to be delivered by early November in the UK, it should be close. Wonder if it will be released in the US and most importantly if there would be anything about BlackBerry 10 version as the rumors suggest.

They need a carrier announcement and a ship date. If either of those are still to be determined then he can't have an event. It's also possible that there won't be an event if he doesn't want to have to answer a lot of questions about the status of BlackBerry 10.

I think an event is must, they have done it for all of their devices & they also NEED to high light their android features that are coming.. I would guess this coming week e-mails will be sent out.

No, there will be no mention of a BB10 version of the Priv, just that BlackBerry "is committed to supporting BB10," meaning that they will support BB10 until their enterprise customers have had a chance to find an alternative.

He already answered those questions in the recent Code/Mobile interview, he evaded a question about future BB10 devices, saying only that BlackBerry will support BB10 OS until the transition to Android OS is complete, in one maybe two years.

This phone had gained a lot of attention and it's the first BlackBerry powered by Android... they should definitely have a big event to release it rather than making it available without one... it's just dumb like the name Priv... Priv... I can't get over the name
