I'm glad It's 2.0.
I just ordered 2 Playbook Chargers, and have a Quick Charger from Asus already. I'm set.
Oh it also means I don't need to go out and buy new USB Female to Micro USB 2 Male connectors. Or anything else USB 2 related for that matter.
:D
And... I haven't seen type c cables anywhere.
Next year it will be a killer feature but this year I probably couldn't find a single person in my office with a type C charger to borrow.

I got a chance to play with the Priv. My impressions - http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comm...h_the_priv_my/ via Reddit in Motion
Source. Read the comments. It's generally positive and people are buying it, provide it's reasonably priced. Nobody cares about John's CEO performance, interviews, device security or the Hub.
Wake up, people. At this point it's better off to tick off the BB10 diehards than to die.
It looks great, now let's get the dam thing released while the hype is still good!!!!!
Agreed, hope this slider sell like hell!
Oh boy that sounds familiar; remember what Thorsten Heins said? Well with it's cr@ppy name, I'm sure it will sell like toilets because every home needs at least one of those.
To BB or not to BBBBBB...?
The guy who took the picture said it was. We'll find out soon enough.

It looks great, but seems like the hardware isn't that premium

Reddit can be 4chan weird at times. Don't mind that.
I am surprised how thin it looks. Nicely surprised!

Now it got bluetooth certification https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=25882
I did the math (the pixels dont lie) and that it was 9.5mm thick. I'm hoping for a thicker phone tbh, saw the Moto X Play in store(that phone is priced right with the right specs!) and its 10mm, still seems thin to be and has a 3650mAh battery.
I'm really hoping for a 10mm device so they can put a 3400-3650mAh battery. Thinner isn't always better, Note 5 is 6.9mm thick, if it has 3000mAh battery then it wont be the powerhouse people believe it to be.
Am I the only one hoping for a 10mm body and not 7mm...?
He's saying its not the current PRIV hardware design, it's an early beta device...... so old hardware design.
Or maybe they changed the lens text in new photos because it actually didn't have a fast focus, so they changed the text instead of changing the lens :p
Reading through the Reddit convo and saw this from the OP:
"[–]imsorandomNote 5 32GB[S] [score hidden] an hour ago
It will be out by the end of this month."
That means it is due to drop at any time in the next few weeks. Would like to know if he was told this directly or just hear it as rumor.

Did the executive say anything about when it's coming out?

He said it would be on all carriers here in Canada by the end of October.

No word on US?

No, but I can't imagine it being any different. Despite them being a Canadian company, most of their customers are in the US and it's a much bigger market.
Who gives a pig's arse about US and that carrier stuff, the important question it, is it available on ShopBB and Amazon.ca!
Very unlikely, I think the thinness of the sliding halves was giving him that impression. The most recent estimates are that it is about 9.5 mm.
Unfortunately, if to in the US and you're on Verizon, you have to care, since you can only use Verizon branded phones on their network.
Anybody concerned about no finger print reader? I am not a fan of it but it seems every high-end android has this for pay integration.... I thought i read somewhere it is a requirement for android pay????
Not sure the fp is all that secure but it seems like an odd omission, hopefully a pkb password is a work around.

And that, my friend, is why I hate the cell phone industry in North America so much.
What's up with the light bleed on the side of the screen?
