Referring to Customize the layout for symbols - Keyboard - latest
Using SYM s on custom symbol page crashes often if Umlaut "�" (not math beta) is put on position 's' on pkb. It also switches crudely when using SYM SHIFT the � turns to SS on vkb symbol display but doesn't switch back to � on anothe SHIFT. Perhaps this is the part where the keyboard crashes sometimes.
Sometimes also using � at the sentence start (which is orthographically wrong) it show this weird mini symbol page, looking like webOS symbol dashboard ;)
Using "orthographically" in a sentence is WRONG. I will let others judge whether it is orthographically wrong! :rotfl:
Passed this along to a BB product manager for review.
For reproducing sake here is my custom symbol page config where the "ss" part is was configured as "�".
And as you can see it writes � to the screen when crashing which is the former symbol page 1 representation of that SYM+s. So enough bug reporting for now.
