    Use Nova Launcher and you can have unread badges and also register swipe gestures.

    The Hub can be used on Nova just as it is on BB. There is nothing offered by BB Launcher that Nova doesn't offer, and more.

    I went Nova also, the BlackBerry launcher isn't anything special, with Nova and TeslaUnread winning combo on the Priv.

    Nova launcher does not work with the smart flip case

    For me the message count not work well. I have 3 email account set. When I receive more than 1 emails, in 1 or more accounts, the number of message showed is 1 message. I tried TeslaUnread and Missed it! too. Not working.
    Another difference in Nova Launcher, when I receive a message in 1 account is show the new message notify on all 3 account shortcut. Not only on the account where the message incoming. This is bad. In BlackBerry Launcher these things working good.

    The Nova Launcher is a very good launcher. Is superior than BlackBerry Launcher. But the notification parts not working well. And this is important for me.
