I have been a long term Windows user and recently brought a Priv.
I have two question for now which are really urgent.

1. All my contacts are saved on my hotmail ID and I would like to use the same account to save my contacts going forward. However, when I sync that email account with the contacts app, the contacts are not showing up. Since I can't see any of my contacts, not able to use the phone.

2. I have the marshmellow update pending but it gets paused saying "waiting for wifi"; although the wifi is on.

Is "Sync Contacts" enabled in Hub -> hambuger menu -> Settings -> Accounts -> *your hotmail id*?

I'm not too sure about that issue. Have you tried updating the phone after connecting your phone to wifi and disabling your network/data connection?

So i switched off the wifi and downloaded the update using the 4g data. Tried twice but both the times, after the download completed go the error "couldn't complete download" and at the bottom left corner it said - Verification Problem.
Can any one suggest something related to this?

Other way around, disable your 4G data and try downloading over wifi.

This happened to me before at some point. Probably a fluke but I changed ip location using a VPN from elsewhere and it started downloading immediately. Try that.
