There's so many apps available on the Google ecosystem, but what would you say are some of the most essential or fun apps to have for your Priv?

Depends... what u use your privacy for, primarily work, personal, etc?
Play Store def. has nearly everything you might be looking for, but for every good one there are ten duds... so usually some trial and error involved.

    For me, I primarily use

    Evernote
    Adobe DC
    Spending Tracker
    Lep's World 3 (game)
    Microsoft Office products
    Outlook

Lots of garbage though and careful to read permissions.

And I hear the Priv doesn't have a built-in File Explorer? So maybe try File Manager by ASUS.
If you find the built-in music player crap maybe try PowerAmp.

Thanks for recommending Rocket Player. I love it!
And well, Textra, which I discovered earlier this week thanks to another forum member is also great!

Any general forums app, beside the crackberry dedicated one? Tapatalk seems to be very bad UI wise and i can't open 2 windows at a time (e.g. copy content from one thread to the other on different forum)?

For photo editing I absolutely love "photodirector".. It has got to be the best one I have seen on mobile for any OS

    -Fstop for photo gallery
-Solid Explorer for file Manager (also has a photo gallery but not as pretty)
-yaata is best integrated replacement SMS I've found
-WPS office for all your documents. I preferred it better than official Microsoft one and it's all in one like on bb10
-Usetool to replace stock calculator. Also has conversions like bb10

    Some others of personal preference
-fuel buddy to track car stuff
    -spotify
    -sound hound
    -flipp
    -feedly for rss feeds
    -jefit for the gym
    - testing 4 different parcel trackers right now
-google handwriting keyboard if you like using a stylus
-AVG antivirus, cache cleaner and WiFi assistant
-VLC for my music and videos

I always try to read all of their privacy policies as good Dev's will be open on how data is used, if it's encrypted, if it's shared, why they need certain permissions... to me I am more worried about the privacy policy than permissions as long as apps aren't abusing them

Example obviously a photo app needs SD card permission, but may ask for NFC too so you can share, or might ask for camera and microphone if you can record from within the app. Those make sense.. But some apps ask for things completely unrelated to the app.. So it's a here say, but I find Dev's general reply to emails so just make them tell you or don't use it...
