as long as they don't claim it, no harm no foul right? and it's expected with android it wouldn't surprise anyone and would solidify all that's been said about android.
Why would they register the Android secured domains if they haven't secured it? Maybe they just won't officially "claim" it?

A moniker. Marketing lingo. Unless yeah, they officially claim that this particular android is above all others and unhackable. It's another AshleyMadison episode waiting to happen IMO if they do officially claim it though.

It's Android. You'll be able to get apks for all the apps very quickly. Maybe even before the device actually launches. I want a few things, keyboard, browser, hub, calendar... That's about it. Everything else they can keep.

Interesting development. We are waiting anxiously to see how android & BB10 works together. We don't want to loose Hub and emailing in any cost.

I am looking forward to this device. My only concerns are how big the keyboard is and, even more important, battery life.

Yeah and if this android slider ever get's rooted or hacked, Lets see BlackBerry try and squirm out of their reputation of being a secure company.
Within seconds of the android slider release every hacker out there will be all over it to try and be the first one to hack or root a BlackBerry. Blackberry is really really treading into dangerous territory.

Get over it, Android is hackable including BlackBerry's implementation, having an efuse or something similar to wipe out the work space as mentioned if it is rooted is all what will be important. Though irrespective of how BlackBerry words it and when it's rooted, the media will have a field day.

Earlier versions of the playbook OS were rooted. And there were exploits to do the same in some early versions of BB10.

Just no hackers really cared about the devices enough to capitalize on it.

    Security through obscurity.
