    Mobile data app control?-turn-apps-mobile-data.jpg

Knowing how pesky android apps are and how they sometimes eat up data and battery running in the background, this feature found on iOS9 would be God sent.

Apparently the android M granular permission control does not feature turning off mobile data access for individual apps.

Does anyone know if this is coming?

I think iOS has had that for a while. I know we have it on our iPad, and it's still on iOS 8.

I think it's great too, and would love it if Android incorporated this. BB10 too, for that matter.

Am I missing something in your question - you can turn off background data usage in L let alone m.

The only difference you can't do it in a list but by app.

Go to mobile data, select app and turnoff background data.

That's great! I assumed android didn't have this as from what I've seen. Can you post a screen cap?

    That's good.

However, can you restrict an app from using mobile data in general? Not just background use, but restrict all data usage to Wi-Fi only on a per app basis?

That's what iOS allows you to do.
