I wouldn't trust an article saying that the Sprint variant is getting Marshmallow in the title.

Of course they do. I suspect this is Verizon's way of dissuading customers to go with BB. Delay even SECURITY UPDATES for what is a vulnerable OS for a month or two or four. Hopefully, the reasons for the security updates are not published so that hackers can take advantage of the Verizon BB's!!!!
    They are published

I just checked a bit ago. Still NO update. I guess they are rolling them out, one device a day. So, it could take a month for the 30 devices sold!

Sorry, takes a while to get here from Manila, the capital of the Philippines. That's how Verizon keeps your bill low, and your satisfaction high!

Every other carrier on the planet seems to have pushed the update today. What does BlackBerry have to do with it at this point when it's only US carriers holding it up for their users as usual.

BlackBerry did what they said they'd do.
Though they could have been a bit more clear in stating that the carriers were free to release it today, if they so chose.
A LOT of people misunderstood what that date meant.

Not for everyone. I still haven't gotten it. Still "up to date".

BBRy should have circumvented this by at least having the update read "your device is not up to date" contact your annoying carrier!

For those who didn't get the update.
When you are in the update OS check screen, tap on check for updates after you receive the error. You will get the update then. You're welcome

Why release 5.1.1 security update and then 7 days later 6.0.1.
I would love for it to happen but feel it will take longer.

It didn't work for me, and I didn't get an error. My device says it's up to date with the Feb 1 version.
