I used to always swipe up and right from the home button to quickly go to The Hub. Now that I have updated to Marshmallow, swipe shortcuts no loner work, it just takes me to Google Now.

Swipe Shortcuts are enabled in the settings menu.

Go in and change the settings so it takes you to the hub.

It still works the same way. It just doesn't show up when you hold it.

Just swipe like you used to.

You can also disable google now.

With Marshmallow, you can now use another app as the shortcut for swiping up.
If you want Google Now, just keep the Home button pressed for a few seconds.

I have noticed this too ! Actually it works now a little different, to go the hub or another app left right or on top you just have to swipe without holding the figure to the center as before. Pushing on the center just enables Google and I have find no way to disable it. Quite annoying...

You can disable this behaviour. Go to the settings in Google Now and disable "Google Now On Tap" .

In Marshmallow you can't pause on the home button swipe up from the home button and in the direction of the swipe gesture and they still work. Just don't pause on the home button.

I typically swipe up on the home button and pause thumbs width above it, or just do the gesture very rapidly.

Swipe don't hold the button. Swipe up from the square and triangle also works.

I saw this before and there are some perks you can do:

    A. Hold back or multi tasking button for swiping up for shortcuts OR

    B. Disable Google search app OR

    C. Turn off the Default App for search by going to Settings > Apps > Configure Apps (by pressing the settings icon on the top right) > Default apps > Assist and Voice input > Assist app > None
