Recently upgraded to Marshmallow from T Mobile. Overall it does seem a lot more snappy, and intuitive. Although I'm finding my Priv is actually overheating more than it did on Lollipop. The overheating message has popped up more times than on Lollipop. Can't remember it doing that on Lollipop. Maybe I am just using the phone more that it's faster

Same thing happened to my PRIV. It got worse with the overheating after Marshmallow.

I did factory reset on mine. Cured the huge battery drain and excessive heating after June update (Telus). Make sure you back up everything you what to keep, including password keeper etc.

Just as it was suggested in the last post, the culprit most likely is one or more rogue, battery sucking, crappily written 3rd party apps. T-mobile is one of those apps, other are Gas Buddy and a few others. I solved my overheating problems by simply removing all the apps I didn't really need but had there because I also had them on my iPhone. Now my battery lasts all day and the Priv is no longer a heating pad. There are some threads on this and other Android forums that address this very issue.
