Th opposite works (marking in Notification Tray does mark read in Hub) but marking it using Hub leaves it unread in Android Notifications.
I know this is on the Known Issues List. Is there a fix coming?

Bump.

Welcome to Android, unless something amazing happens, no, there is no fix. That's normal behaviour.
We'll see what happens after Android N maybe.

Disagree. They fixed the same problem with WhatsApp and Facebook. I imagine they can fix it with SMS, no?
And what do you mean by "normal behavior"? What, specifically, is normal behavior? Because when it comes to the Hub, there is no "normal", since the Hub is not part of "normal" Android.

Are you sure they fixed that? Because you're aware that opening a notification for sms or whatsapp in the hub opens the app, which in turn dismisses the notification.
That's how they "fixed" it.
All the hub can do is read notifications, not act on them. Which means that dismissing a notification can mark it read in the hub, but not the reverse.

Still trying to get used to the hub on the Priv. Definitely not used to having apps open when you click a notification. Hate that hitting back doesn't take you back into the hub.
Lol ... I do that all the time. Need to 'unlearn' this as I'm realizing the Hub may never completely work the same way again.
Hitting back does take you back to Hub. Depending on the app, you have to hit it once or twice. Make sure you hit the lower back key.

Yes it is something we are looking at a fix for (original issue in thread). SMS was a little more complex than the others because there's a variety of apps we had to cover for instead of mapping to just one.
Thank you.

Just close the app, you need to get used to closing apps when you are done with anyway.
MM fixed this issue. I'm getting my SMS marked as read.

No it did not fix it. It's even been confirmed NOT fixed by c_bryant. Marking read IN HUB does NOT mark Android notification read. Marking Android notification read DOES mark Hub read.
Perhaps you have it reversed in our head what works and what doesn't.
