Doesn't that one only work with Samsung phones?
No I've used my gear s2 classic with my Priv. You have to download the Samsung plug-in and gear software. Works pretty good. I got all the notifications and could reject phone calls. The downside is the app availability on the gear s2.

There aren't exactly many apps for Android Wear, either. Out of of the about 70 I have installed on Android, only 8 support the watches.

    Garmin Fenix 3 here.

Have the Samsung Gear S and the moto 360, but the Fenix 3 is the best of them all. Battery life is ridiculous. Puts the pebble to shame. I get around a month on a charge on my Fenix, when not hiking or snowboarding mind you.

Pebble Time Steel is my fav. This is my third Pebble watch and I really like the vision of the company. It's been great especially now with the android Priv, functions are working better than they did with the Passport.

I like the steel mesh band you have for it. What kind is it?

I didn't read all the posts but curious if anyone is using the LG Urbane? Hope to get the Priv when available via VZW and looking for a decent review when compared to the others...

    Thanks in advance.

I just bought the Urbane. Awesome watch. Lots of good functionality and decent battery life. And it looks good too. Amazon and Best Buy have it on sale for $250 right now. That's $100 off the regular price.

Not an option for small wrists, though ...

The Tag and Urbane both look good. I'm into watches, and have countless already. But, I've never tried a smart watch. I wouldn't mind trying a Tag with my Priv...

I have a garmin fenix 3 sapphire. It's an amazing multi sport watch which handles all notifications really well as well.

It's not as big as I was led to believe. I thought it would be cartoonish, but it's not much bigger than my Citizen watch, and it's not heavy, either.

I had one of those a few months back and on my 6.5" wrists it looked comical indeed

Depending on the direction you want to go in would determine which smartwatch/device you want to go with.

If your more fitness minded, right now the Sony smartwatch 3 is being sold from Verizon.com and select stores for $99. This one varies alittle from other android wear because of the dedicated GPS built into the watch. Also the moto 360 1st gen can be had for around the same price and besides alittle sluggishness here and there is a great watch. However if your not a fan of android wear's way of handling notifications, there are alternatives.

On the other hand if your looking for more fitness centric devices, the Microsoft band 1st generation is an awesome device, and can be had for relatively cheap (around 70-90$)

And lastly pebble is also a great alternative with a rich app ecosystem that has great fitness apps like misfit and integration with endomondo. Of course the 1st generation has been around for a few years now, but can be had for around 60, the pebble time has been floating around on sale for about 130-150$

Just a few options/opinions to help you out

Nope. It works with all androids with at least a Snapdragon 808 and 3GB RAM.

I like the 'look' of the Urbane. I only need text notifications. What would you say is the best looking smart watch and one with simplistic text message notifications? Thanks

With the Asus ZenWatch 2, I don't seem to have much control over notifications. I wanted to be able to ONLY have text message notifications on my watch, and everything else, on my Priv. That doesn't seem to be an option. Unless, I'm not finding the correct setting or something.

    Any feedback would be appreciated...

That can be done - open the Android Wear App, click on the little cogwheel in the upper right corner, go to 'block app notifications' and block all the apps except for SMS (whichever SMS app you're using) - et voil!
