I think this feature "Lift to Wake" is a handy feature.
However, it does not work all the time and I have to double-tap. Any reason why?

I also read that this feature would drain the battery faster. Why would this differ than the double-tap.

    Great feature .
It has only failed on me when I attempt to place it on a surface that isnt perfect flat.
I'm not aware of any additional battery drain, nor have I experienced that. The opposite is a should true.

    I wasn't much help but...

I disabled the lift to wake, and double tap. I found that my battery life is better since doing that. I was accidentally turning on the screen at time when I didn't even know it.

I disabled the lift to wake but had double tap to wake up. For me I suspected lift to wake was killing the battery.

So far my betray life is respectable.
However, the Lift-to-Wake feature is hot and miss; ie: when I pick up the Priv, it does not always wake up.

Where do I go to turn this on and off? I feel like it has been removed, I can't find it anymore!

It didn't work consistently at first but it works great now and I love this feature.

I disabled it also since I carry the device as a secondary line and it spends a lot of time being carried around as opposed to in use. Disabling the Lift to Wake function saves battery as per my usage. I'd prefer to double tap.

Does turning off double tap also improve battery life?

disabling also seems to make night mode in clock not work for than a few minutes when in pod.
