Remember back in the MWC15 event where the BlackBerry rep showed two sliders (black and white versions) on the stage? Back then crackberry exploded with excitement, but now that the dust has settled it seems that Android is the only route it will be taking... but that's without an official unveiling of the device, so whaddya guys think, will there be a bb10 version or not, and if not, did they just decide to go the Android route after the event?

Another thread about bb10. The os failed to gain customers so devs wouldn't develop apps. It was a loss from the start

Without apps you can't get customers and with it customers devs won't make the apps.

that's true no doubt, but I also noticed that during the event the phone looked very much like it was running the bb10 OS, so the hype made was pretty much entirely about it running this OS. So it's interesting to note that the decision to switch it was just made within such a small time span (relatively speaking)

But my issue was the lack of communication about this event and whaat they are about to release, just so people can calm their anxiety, they could atleast tell folks if they ever did plan to release an os10 version, and if that's ever a possibility. The tease has gone too far to no avail

The device that was shown was a dummy device with a static screen shot of BB10. Chen has made it clear there will be no BB10 version released. Only two service updates are planed for BB10 in the future, Blackberry is now focusing on cross-platform and securing Android.

Everyone who loves BB10 should just keep a device as a backup or collectible. I'll do that with my A-condition Classic.

I've agree with the two above posts. CB has gotten to be a mess. I wish the mods were as active as the posters are.

At the beginning of March the Priv was more than 8 months away from release. BlackBerry didn't announce the Passport SE until August. It just didn't make business sense for then to announce they were going to leave BB10 and move to Android at that point.
