Is it possible to access the hub by a left swipe from the home screen?

You can activating the action icon (that small line in the right you can change it to your left) and it's the yellow icon .

Get all in one gestures. From the Google play store.

It's fantastic. Will let you really make use of the curved screen. You set it so that the hub comes up from a curved glass swipe, or towards the edge. Whatever you want.

    Also check out action 3.
Different launcher with many more swipe controls. Does not interfere with the swipe up (unless you want it to)

These two apps really push further to feel like bb10's quick email access.

Good app, but damn it's slow to launch the Hub. A pop up message comes up that says BlackBerry Hub, and then it's a solid 5 seconds to launch it. That's not Hub slowness, because Nova Launcher home button to launch Hub is instant.

That app looks promising but too slow to open. Great idea though. Useful for other things.

I notice it's only slow from the home screen. In an app, hub loads up quick.

True. That's weird. I also don't like the gray ovals on the sides showing the swipe area.

You can make those disappear in the settings.
