Just A Thought Regarding The Price
Last year, when I bought my Passport, ShopBlackberry had this silly price-cutting act on. You see, when the passport was released, it said that it was actually $750 USD. However, that price was slashed and it was shown to be discounted to $650 USD. This was, in reality, the actual price of the device. Never did it go over that price. They only placed that higher price next to it because they wanted the casual passerby to think there was a real price cut happening. My thought is that the price we saw when those links were active were a mistake caused by input fields. Let's say that some data entry person was told to type two prices into the page. One price would be the one we saw. The other would be the one that would reflect the "discount". However, since the page wasn't even supposed to be posted anyways, we saw the original price before the "discount" price was entered. Not particularly confident in this explanation but I just realized how easily it could happen.
What do you all think?
