    Who does contracts anymore?

    They are a joke
If you're happy with your plan or get a discount from the carrier on top of subsidized hardware cost. Why wouldn't you sign a contract?

Most of the time you're not paying any more then what the phone would have cost you off contact to break the agreement. So it's a win win unless you're a phone ***** and need to switch carriers every 6 months!

Unless you have a plan that they do not offer and can not renew or a grandfather plan, there would be no point in signing one as you will pay more in 2 years (contract length) than buying the phone out right.

    Lets play the example game.

Priv is 799.99 or 399.99 on 2year from rogers and they will make me sign a contract at that price.

I pay 53$ tax in for unlimited everything and 5gb of data , two years i pay 1272$

    1272 + 895.6 (priv tax in ) = 2167

    If i want the same plan from Rogers its 112 x 24 = 2688

    2688 + 447.98 (priv subsidized tax in ) = 3135

I pre-ordered through a corporate account but trust me there were a few hiccups (it took almost an hout) but the price IS 799.plus tax CDN. I took several screen shots of the text but dont know how to upload same, IF ANY ONE WISHES TO EMAIL ME AT ABC401atROGERS.COM and who can upload images, I'd be happy to send a screen shot confirming the price.

Some plans, especially good ones dating back to the 3-year contract era grandfathered ones now have no-upgrade notes on them. You will need to sign the new contract with an in-market plan.

Mainly to increase the monthly to cover for that "subsidy".

Why do some reps have info and other reps don't? I asked some to look internally and they say they have nothing.. so wtf? I'm having my doubts here

I had the same issue. Maybe a matter of some may know where to look. But generally on corporate lines it shows the cost when you order. If you login to the business portal it will show you the cost as well.

I wasn't expecting a launch event, but atleast get your crap in line BlackBerry... as I said, Priv will probably be my last BlackBerry, it'll help me get used to on screen kb's and then I'm hopefully out of there lol. I can't deal with this..

Reps have access to the same data base so Yes whomever is just lazy to not go look for you. Some reps don't like to look at it requires more work for them!

Just spoke to someone I know who works at Rogers and there is INDEED NO internal information except an internal page that says that the Priv is up for reservation and that another page with specs/pricing will come out, this just came to me now as he's in early for work and reported this to me..

So, leads me to ask - where are the reps getting this info from?...

$399/$799 might be made up, just keep that in mind...
