    This is with your language set to English (Canada)?

    Setting it to English (US) was enough to activate it for some time.

    Yes. No changes were made. Always in English Canada.

    question though: how do I access my old news feed?

    Edit: nvm. I found it in the Chrome app as well as the Google app.

    It is more interactive and conversational. It also seems better at understanding commands.
