With the DroidBerry now a reality - I am still a bit skeptical about getting it; First being the price and second my hatred for Android.

This thread is not about that.

So I watched the new Priv video uploaded by BlackBerry and at about 0:44 to 0:48 the video shows "smart slide". The lights on keyboard highlight as the finger moves from top to bottom and back from the bottom to the top. I really found this unique and interesting. Thanks fro keeping the innovative factor BlackBerry.

So are pop widgets similar to 3d touch - Is it a feature built into Android or a custom feature built by BlackBerry?

A link to the youtube video:

Pop-up widgets is just having the widgets "jump" at you instead of having them somewhere on the home screen or integrated into the notification area. At least that's my understanding could be completely wrong.

Uh, I don't think they keyboard actually lights up. I think that was just an effect for illustrative purposes, necessary because the video doesn't show an actual finger. Would be cool, though...

I believe SmartSlide refers to how the slide out action of the keyboard works.

As well as switching automatically from VKB to PKB, it wakes up the phone when you slide it out.
