Just got a Priv, moving over from BBOS. Trying to add an msn.com email account and having no luck. Just simply adding an account with email and password I get "Account Error" ... saying it can't be authenticated. I get the same when doing manual setup for POP3 or IMAP. I know the user and password are correct. I have POP enabled from outlook.com and used their setting details for server, port, and encryption. Any suggestions?

Check the email account itself from your computer. Some accounts will not allow certain phones or oses to access the account. This will usually trigger a,notification to the account that will allow you to override the block.

No notifications. I was able to add the account to the Gmail but not the Hub. Would really like to add the account to the Hub.

Do you have two-factor authentication enabled on the account?

Ideally you want to use Active Sync rather than pop or imap.

Yes, I do have two-factor authentication setup.
Then you need to generate an App Password for your Microsoft account.

It should setup the account as ActiveSync automatically.
If you want to do it manually (you really shouldn't need to), I think you can select MICROSOFT EXCHANGE ACTIVESYNC as the account type, and then enter the server details (you'd have to look them up).

Thank you for the tips! Figured out the settings after using content transfer which imported another msn account successfully and looking at the settings there. Two factor authentication was also part of the problem, had to setup an app password on outlook.com.
