Yep I never understood why they didn't do this on the passport also. IMO the cursor is 90% of the benefit of the trackpad. For txt selection and web page navigation.

One of the reasons I use my classic instead of my passport. I know the Wife would like the cursor on her priv.

I agree, but what would we use to select once we navigate to the intended location? Maybe a soft tap on the keyboard.

I could be misunderstanding but you can. Double tap brings up cursor and allows you move it anywhere. Double tap again allows you to type. You can also hold shift and swipe on keyboard to highlight text.

Apologies for my lack of clarity. I was aiming for a double - or triple tap - or some new combination of taps - to bring up the cursor. Then a single tap of the keyboard once the cursor is at the intended spot to select. Would be great, I think.

Well it's pretty much there. Double tap let's you move cursor anywhere. Double tap again allows you to continue typing or holding shift allows you to highlight text.

No. A cursor is a pointy white thing that allows you to select links on a website, etc etc. Not just text.

People here are misunderstanding what you mean? You mean to use a mouse connected to a pc or to double tap to bring up cursor control where you can move it anywhere on the screen of your PRiv?

I don't think he means that he'd like to use it as a mouse connected to a PC. Pretty sure he wants it to act like a Bold, a Classic cursor.

Yes and moves around just like it should. No right click, but that wasn't expected anyway.
    The scroll wheel works too.

I tried to get a screenshot but the cursor seems to be camera shy and disappears with each attempt, so here it taken from my Z30.
