I've been checking for this illusive update for a couple weeks. Do I just need to be more patient or is there another way to get it?

The only way to get Marshmallow on your VZW Priv would be as follows:

    1) Go to grocery or food store
    2) Buy a bag of marshmallows
    3) Open newly purchased bag
    4) Take out your phone
    5) Cover your phone in marshmallows

Now you have Marshmallow on your Verizon Priv - enjoy and please post results.

Verizon has actually been a lot better with the Priv and updates. But for Marshmallow, it seems Blackberry is still working on some things, maybe we'll get something in June after the June 6 update.

How's the battery life?? Does it seem snappier?

Oh God, the heat off the back of a Priv could easily roast a marshmallow.

I've always liked the charred part of the marshmallow. Not entirely black but some reasonable proportion.

But I suspect rather than black, I will be totally gray when Verizon finally gets around to releasing Marshmallow.

That is my pallor or complexion. You can see the gray tones in the selfie I posted. A mere shadow of myself.

Maybe in June. As an off topic aside, I wish we could "lock" the slider function for the hw keyboard. I find many times when putting it in my front jeans pocket the slider slides without me wanting it to. Definite negative for the overall user experience. *shrugs*

@Toni yes, haha. But the engineers of the slide mechanism could very easily have incorporated a slider switch or latch somewhere on the top bezel that could lock it out, if desired. Not that difficult. :s

@toni, but yes, that would most likely not only be the first thing that breaks, but also confuses many. Just saying, they -could- have added it easily, although I see many reasons why the masses would not prefer it.

Yes. Someone would break the latch and not be able to slide open the keyboard. Then they'd start a thread to go on ranting about their $700 phone now being useless, with no way to replace the latch other than buying an entire new phone.

I'm glad BlackBerry did not develop such latch.

Went back to my iPhone until Verizon gets things straightened out. Crazy the way they are treating the customers who bought a Priv.

Since the D Day update, my phone has been hot, sluggish, and the battery life has practically made it a wired phone. Yesterday (Sunday) I was at my house all day long, got almost no email, and a few texts. I uninstalled FB, Instagram, and SnapChat days before. I still had to plug it in before dark at 11%. Blackberry Services accounted for 25% of my battery usage. Sure one charge made it through the "work" hours, but if I want to go anywhere after work hours, I need to keep it on the charger during work and not really use it. I'm disappointed in BB and the Priv right now. When you compare my experience with the new reports of the high rate of returns of the phone, I'm concerned that this might not only be my last BB, but their last BB. iPhone users have always had to choose between using their phones and having enough charge to use their phones, but now I'm faced with the same Hobson's choice.
