    so, i was fed up with my horrible Priv performance.. the phone lags regularly.. takes seconds to take a picture sometimes, takes seconds to minimize apps, i tried every possible app manager to see what the problem was, and couldn't locate the culprit. i them stumbled upon an older thread talking about initial priv owners problems and how to improve battery life, and it was stated to use hangouts as the default sms app.. i tried it.. deleted everything 'textra' and using google hangouts exclusively. I will tell you 100% that the phone doesnt get nearly as hot.. lag is pretty much gone now.. it may be a bit early to tell for sure, but i'm on day 2, and i'm 99.9% certain textra is the culprit. if you're having similar issues, try it..

    Glad that solved your problem. I use Textra on my Android and it doesn't lag. Must be something with the Priv and Textra....

    i have been using Textra on my priv since January. No issues. No lag. No heating. The same can be said for 3 of the 4 other Privs in my organization (I have one Priv user that likes Hangouts).

    I was using yaata but stopped because I couldn't send videos. The Verizon message+ app works pretty good

    My daughter has been using it since February.... I started today... ,d my other daughter gave up her iPhone and got a priv and is using it as well. So far so good...

    Jaydee, I don't get it - you don't use a BlackBerry and yet you seem to post a lot in cb....

    And your comments don't have great significance to BlackBerry owners - like this one.

    Why do you post in cb?

    Textra did lag but after the most recent update lately, it corrected the lag issue.
