    It seems to have downloaded but I really don't know how to change from a standard Blackberry ringtone to the one I downloaded. I can't even see where the downloads are kept in the phone.

    Settings>Sound & notification > Phone ringtone.

    To use a song or a custom sound as your ringtone, move the .mp3 file you want to use to the Ringtones folder on your device. You might need to install a file manager app from the Google Play store first.

    I put a mp3 file in the ringtone folder but when I go to settings >sounds and select ringtones it only shows the ones that came with the phone. When I use a file Mgr and look at the folder it is in the folder
