When sharing a file (photo/video), Did they modify the share screen to act like in BB10, with highlighted common contacts/apps?

You can disable the Hub and use the Gmail app for email. Might be a cleaner experience, for now.

No, standard Android grid of share destinations. But the nice BB10 'common suggestions' screen does appear in the Hub when you click to compose a new message.

Gmail app is HORRIBlE for Exchange FYI. If you don't want to use Hub, use Nine.

"Hey you have some ads in BBM you haven't dismissed yet, and you should really open the Sticker Shop" if WhatsApp does annoying reminders, BBM cannot fall behind!

Another question beyond the Text Selection: how good is email formatting from the Hub? Does it do colour changing, WYSIWYG editing etc like the BB10 Hub?

    BlackBerry 10, Passport signed.

I use Aqua Mail on my Android phone for email. It works well enough and it has good support from the developer.

Not yet, the developer is working on it.

For Push I would recommend the Nine app that was mentioned higher up.

I looked. It does support EAS Push now, but the user interface is still woefully outdated.

Their GPS listing says EAS. That means Push I think.

Working on it? That total BS. They just don't want to pay MS the appropriate fee!

    Nine all the way.

    I hope that will come.

Although Hub itself operates very different as I described the email portion of it is very similar to BB10 and it looks almost the same.

I would look at this phone as "an Android phone with added benefits of Blackberry keyboard and apps". Do not approach it as "Blackberry phone with benefits of Android apps".
That's an excellent way of thinking about it, thanks for all the info and sharing with us!

    QUOTE]

    I like this concept.

I purchased my very first BlackBerry as the Passport upon release viewing it as the latter. I have, as such, not been upset when a certain android app failed to function. Most actually do fine.

I find the bb10 & android both available simultaneously to be a very nice & productive setup. Having android alone with a few BlackBerry appearing contrivances to be less enticing to me for now.

My wish, for certain, is to have my Passport updated to android 5.x or better. Further would be a nice ability to run Android apps residing on the external card. I would be happy.

Happily, my Passport has had no build issues. I use it heavily every day. I have not used my tablets since.

I have found the form factor of my Passport to be a challenge slowly overcome. I fear the large Priv form might be insurmountable for my use.

I would need to be convinced to set aside the Passport for the Priv. That has yet to happen.
