I got a question for you... Is it a Sprint model? I hate that Sprint is so hush hush about this. I wish a leak would come out similar to that of the Verizon model. 😩

    Thanks so much for this.

    (1) Does it feel really snappy to you?

    (2) When @evleaks speaks of bugs, what could he mean? have you experienced any buginess? If so what?

    Thanks again!

Does type and search works the same way as on other PKB BlackBerries? Aka "call john", www address, apps, searching, "fb this is my new status"? It's the killer feature of PKB for me, as I use my laptop the same way with KRunner.

Is LinkedIn or Instagram or "BBM Channels" integrated into the hub?

What version are you on? You used to be able to just delete to archive a gmail item in the past, but with one of the most recent 10.3 updates, they removed that functionality and now delete actually moves the file to trash instead of archiving it :/
When you first set it up, the hub asks if you want to delete from device only or both device and server. I don't recall how it worked before, I may have chosen a different option also, but now it deletes from both my phone and the server.

Could you install third-party input keyboard? And, does the physical keyboard work on it?
I used to have a BB Q10, but I moved to android because BB didn't support third-party input keyboard.
I really miss the physical keyboard. Could you test a Chinese input keyboard for me("Boshiamy IME" in Google Play store)
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Was it pretty common for devs to just stick with bb10? If I was a dev I'd probably go where the users are (iOS) and if that takes off then eventually port it over to android and or bb10
No. We are talking about integrating into the HUB. Developers are not going to change their apps just so it can go into the BlackBerry HUB when they already go into Android notifications. The HUB will be a shell of itself on Android and it won't get any better. It's now just a glorified email client and not a communication center.

If it has short boot times, it means that it isn't verifying the OS for security.

but you know this is one of the main complaint from people leaving BB. I was ,yesterday ,talking to a friend (trying to take him back to BB) about the Priv and he asked me that : How it takes to boot??

That's what I hate so much on Android.
Even the basic functions are not integrated in the OS.
You MUST load an 3rd party app to have the simplest function??? And then you wondering when the device stutters and slow down.

That's the reason why all are so crazy for apps.

My Z30 has all what I need integrated in BB10.
No need to load and app to use long press vol. up/down to skip track.
No need to load an 3rd party filemanager.
All build in in the OS from the beginning.

You don't need a priv to answer that - OEMs are not allowed to stop users changing stuff like the virtual keyboard.

For notification duplicates, let's say for SMS notifications, can you turn it off at Android side so SMS notification only comes out in HUB, not the notification pull down menu?

But notice although it warns you - it doesn't and cannot stop you. If Priv is successful you will find more support for it in virtual keyboards - if you look at the compliance docs, BBRY cannot stop anyone making an app to add or remove functions from the PKB.

There isn't an awful lot that OEMs like BBRY are allowed to prevent the user changing.

Also, why would you want to change it? In the years I used androids I hated the keyboards. BlackBerry has the keyboards whether virtual or physical down to a science. In my opinion there is nothing better. At least virtual I can say that. Never used a pkb before.

I'm assuming Hub on Android will be coded correctly, to allow integration of notifications within Android system. Here's a screen shot of my OnePlus One notification settings. No third party apps were used in this demonstration.

Welcome to androidland - within hours of general release there will be threads on xda developers asking for stock ROMs and methods to disable or remove all the BBRY apps.

And there will be some guys who accept the challenge to root the device. Let's see if it's ever possible.

On the Droid 3 after years flashing different roms has been achieved even with a locked bootloader. But seems to be pretty impossible with the Priv. ^^
