The swipe up gesture actually works on the Nexus 5 running 5.1.1. It was removed when I updated to 6.0 though
I just noticed that on my Nexus 7. The only option now seems to be holding for Now on Tap.

I asked if BB10's file manager was included, and he said yes! My life is now complete.
Amazing, so it has pkb, hub, file manager, password keeper, packed into android OS, I think I'm sold. Those were my key requirements!

sounds like the swipe up and to the right gesture for accessing the hub on BB10 works the same way on the Priv. This is news to me....

No we've known this for a while - it's actually the standard android way - if you swipe up from the bottom you get Google now - what BBRY have done is if you swipe up from the bottom you get three choices, you up and left for search, straight up for google now and swipe up and right for hub.

Anyone find all the leaks, bits and pieces of information from a week or so quite controlled?

I mean, just yesterday BlackBerry posted on their blog about Reddit, and today this surprise AMA happens... coincidences.

I like the fact that everyone who had low expectations for this device comes away impressed once they have it in-hand. Blackberry may have hit a home run here.

First they have to put it in the right reviewer's hands. :-)

They probably packed as much camera as they could into the razor-thin slide up screen.

Yes, and if true a decent marketing job to generate some interest.

How about we all wait to have front camera in all our hands before we judge the front camera. One person, one opinion, let's see the proof first with own eyes.

Seems like they included enough features to make bb10 people happy. I had high hopes for this device and still do

No Verge. Heck I rather let Gizmodo handle it before The Verge. That's how low I think of them.

The individuals dramatically obsessing and panicking over the quality of selfies as make or break (not necessarily on this thread, but in general), says a lot about them as far as I'm concerned. Maybe a phone isn't their first priority.

No excuses, just the fact that even a "poor camera" will take a decent image in good lighting. And all this fuss over a camera made for taking selfies, just so they can be posted on the internet? You don't need the latest specs to do that.

There's one point that seems incorrect though. Maybe device was not configured or preproduction software.

He said the shortcuts are short-presses and type to search is gone, but according to the Telus tutorials, they ARE configurable.
