Is anyone else having problems with pdf attachments in the hub?

Through the hub, trying to view it directly or even downloading it to memory and opening it, just keeps showing its not a valid format

I opened it through the godaddy dedicated email app and it opened up just fine.
It also opened on my passport just fine as well

I have narrowed it down to a hub problem, I just dont understand why... seeing if anyone else is having this issue

I have all the latest software installed

So you can open and view it from another email app on the device, just not hub? And it tries to open in the same viewer app from both spots? What type of email account is it?

Everything is pretty much exactly like BB10 as far as attachments go on viewing, opening and attaching

Just having this stupid hub issue with pdf is just killing me, especially when I fire up my passport and am viewing it just fine...

Android you always seem to need a work around for EVERYTHING you do

I just tried saving the attachment through the hub onto my device memory, and than copied it on a USB stick to try and open it on my computer

I got an interesting error from Adobe on my laptop

Okay thanks. Is the server configured as IMAP or exchange and is it just pdf files? Might get you to email bbappsupport at blackberry dot com and just address it to Cody. Will want to grab logs and I'll have the team take a look from there.

The server is configured as imap, and so far ive just noticed pdf files causing the problem

I've opened excel attachments just fine previously

Will Cody be able to step me through the process of capturing logs, etc?

    Thanks
    Jason

Another strange thing as well, hub lists the pdf file size as 48bytes, it downloads from hub as 48bytes, etc

The file is actually 4,927 bytes

I've not had any issues. The PDF files I've received though are pretty simple documents . No advanced security setting enabled.

I had the same PDF hub issue today. Tried opening it via the hub using Adobe Acrobat and PDF Viewer downloaded from Google Play when the Drive viewer couldn't do it. I was able to view it with my Passport.

Can you check to see if you ran out of memory or storage space? The only time this happened to me was when I ran out of space. Since I cleared some space this hasn't ever happened again.

I only had a few things running, so I dont think it was memory..

And I have 16GB internal storage free so I dont think it was that either

I opened another pdf just fine though yesterday through the hub, it was just my pay stub, so I think another poster was correct about the security because it is a locked sheet obviously

I can't open any kind of attachment in the hub . Nothing at all. It's basically useless for me now. All it does is generate a separate notification I have to clear.

I had this issue and I reported to blackberry support and it seems like the issue was resolved with December 14th update.

I've had this issue as well. Just once that's I recall. I didn't actually realize it was an issue at the time..I just asked the sender to resend, he did and then it was fine. But seeing this now it looks like it was the same issue.

I have no problem with pdfs sent on my work email but last week I purchased Star Wars tickets online using my hotmail email account and the pdf copy of the tickets wouldn't open from the hub. But it would open using the outlook app and Google pdf viewer. It's seems the hub has trouble with pdf security settings perhaps?
