When I looked at this picture it had eerie resemblance to 'security' screen I saw on a Xiaomi phone. When I went inside the menu options. There wasn't much to do by way of securing your device. I would like to ask from those in know of android phones, if this is a standard UI of security menu on an android device or there is more in this picture than meet the eyes?
Apps Blue shield status says Device security status is 'Excellent' but the fine print albeit misleadingly says 'Discover how apps are using your info'. I am wondering how just watching an app behaviour, ipso facto gives it Excellent status when all it is doing, is telling you "xyz app is trolling your data like nothing". I don't see anything by Blackberry here as I am keen to know what Bugdroid is doing.

I think the main difference of the priv and every other android out there is the GRsecurity kernel, but what it does exactly? It remains to be seen. We'll know more once it's launched.

Yep. The only difference will be the kernel. Not really sure what that will do, but Safe Guard is no better than Avast, AVG, Kaspersky or any other security suite. This is still one of the many unknowns with this phone.

It's not going to secure anyone's personal or private info from Google no matter what kernel it's running. Google would never have partnered with BlackBerry to allow something like this to happen. IF for any strange reason this was possible people would drop their android device like a hot potato to go to a secure android that happens to have BlackBerry across the top of it and BlackBerry would once again be number one like back in the day.

What are the odds of this happening? Other makers of Android hand sets may as well just close up shop if your information was secure from Google because you are using a blackberry handset
