Once installed open a command prompt as admin and type:

    Cd c:/adb
    Adb devices

(See if it is detected) and then follow above steps

I recommend minimal ADB and fastboot. I've used it forever and works extremely well.n

You didn't follow what I posted. Look above and open a command prompt in admin and navigate to the directory before running the commands. Make sure USB debugging is on.

Open a command prompt as an admin.

    Type:

    Cd c:/adb

    Adb devices

See if your device shows up

Hi great help here, but my Priv isnt playing ball!! the adb driver is erroring with code 28, when I do a adb device list nothing is shown, probably due to the error. I have that latest google adb files, the phone setting is correctly ticked for adb even in charge mod, Ive set it to file transfer mode. How can I get rid of this error and connect, Ive win10 and blackberry drivers are installed is it this thats causing the error.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Ok Ive found another win 10 laptop and this one finds the blackberry priv which is good no issues there, but when I type in adb devices nothing shows. Ive definately got ADB ticked in developer setting but it just wont see it.

Is there anything i'm missing here. plug phone in set to file transfer, then open command line as admin within ADB directory and type in adb devices and it should be listed right?

I have nothing, ive got the latest blackberry drivers installed so its not that. I am lost as to why it wont find the Priv. I just want to change the resolution on my screen but I cant even get it to be seen in ADB.

There must be something, Im using the blackberry priv usb cable as I thought that best.

Any help on being able to see it in adb would be great.

    Many thanks

The thing that's often what tricks me is that the phone is connected in charging only mode. Open the notifications when you plug it in and check that if you haven't already.

Hi thank you for the reply and advise. I now have it stating in windows that its a mtp device, MTP is selected in charge and std usb mode.

I type in from admin priv cmd... 1. cd adb 2. adb devices it states deamon is now started on port 5037 but no device is shown. Ive tried several micro usb cables but nothing is detected.

There must be something missing but I cant see what. Ive used adb on other devises without issue so Im a bit perplexed by this issue.

Any other things I could have missed...

    Many thanks

Ive done it. Ok drivers I know is always an issue with these things and I had installed googles own and most of XDA's but nothing seemed to hit the mark. But I found the link below and installed the lastest adb & fastboot, gave it admin privileges before running adb and it worked :-)

Heres the link if it helps others...

Admin I hope its ok to post this as it is important as its kept updated.

    Many thanks everyone.
