Presumably, you have a Google Account attached, have you checked the Google account to see if they synched there? - Google Contacts

if you have a google account and they are not synced.... you can export your local contacts to storage and then open the .vcf file to "create contact under account" and then move them to your google apps

If you're having trouble navigating the screen since it is cracked, you can also use an app called Vysor to navigate your phone from your desktop. You'll need to have USB debugging enabled to use it, so if that's not already enabled it could be tricky to get it to work, but from there you should be able to get your contacts synced to a remote source a bit easier.
