Pardon my ignorance, but how do some seem to have this phone already when carrier stores don't even have display models yet and ShopBB won't ship until the 23rd?
Thanks.

Many people have received tracking information from ShopBlackberry indicating delivery for tomorrow (Nov 10).
Also, many carrier stores had at least a few to sell on Nov 6.

I'm on vacation in Phoenix Az and could not wait. Ordered it online Friday morning from ATT with a store pickup in Phoenix AZ.
Picked up before noon and happy with this new phone.
The OS will only get better in the BlackBerry fashion.
I pre-ordered on Rogers wireless' device reservation however on Friday 6th,the corporate store that I deal with had two in Stock so I just called in and claimed one. My shipping notice was most likely going to deliver on launch day but couldn't wait so I snapped up the in store stock.

Walked into the AT&T store and walked out with two.

Got mine Friday morning at 9am when ATT opened its doors. Like the rest of us with the device in hand, it looks like we spent the entire weekend on CrackBerry answering questions and giving feedback on the Priv.
This site is going to be absolutely crazy once those shipments reach the masses. If hopefully in a crazy positive way.

AT&T in Acworth, GA, had them in stock, well, two of them.
I went to the mall Friday.. 2 stores had live models, 1 had dummy, and one just had them in the back but not displayed.. Went home to think about it then went back Saturday because I've been waiting for the slider forever so caved into trying android
Although apparently at Rogers in Canada they won't sell it off contract for 3 months or something. So had to sign 2 years at $629 (to keep my 6gb existing plan)
But since they still want me to pay the $170 back to make $799 my bill went up $18 a month.
Only other option was paying $899 directly from BlackBerry, so long run this seems cheap maybe?

Not two but yep this.

All carrier stores in my city seem to have had display units as of launch day. Not sure where you you got the info about carrier stores not having display models.

London Selfridges have stock.
I bought my from 3rd party dealer.

I went to my local AT&T store in Niles, Ohio (USA) on Saturday, and was the first to buy one (and the only person to inquire about it). I read somewhere that the Kardashians were getting PRIV's, so I figured if they like it, everyone will want one, and I didn't want to miss out. So far, I mostly love it, but I cannot figure out how download the apps I bought through BB World. I cannot download BBW, it is not available for my PRIV. And I miss time-shift feature of the camera from my Q10 that allowed me to choose the best face.
The Priv doesn't run BB10 apps.
Bought in store with Rogers outright on launch day

Not sure if serious, but if so, use Google Play Store.
I reserved at a local Telus dealer and picked it up on release day.

Walked into a Telus store on Nov 6 and walked out with one (the last one to that is). *phew*

AT&T ordered a set amount of Privs before the launch (they had to stamp the phones with that hideous AT&T logo). BlackBerry might have figured that more people would buy Privs through carriers using upgrades because most don't like dishing out $700 on a phone.
I walked into one of those stores without a display model and I still walked out with a Priv.
I walked in my local att in Chicago Nov 6 around noon and bought half the stock they received . 1 out of 2

I didn't even bother pre-ordering, and had no problems picking one up on launch day. I read the reviews (AC and CrackBerry) Friday morning, decided it was worth picking up, logged into AT&T's website, chose "pick up at local store", and ordered it. 3 hours later, I got an e-mail telling me the phone was ready for pickup. Drove to the store and was out the door in 10 minutes, Priv-in-hand.
Walked into Telus on release day, left 20 minutes later a happier person :p Even the sales person seemed pretty excited about the phone too.
This in a Bell store! But they were 4 and we're all liking what they were seeing
